The Blades of Toledo!! Well, more like the Marzipan of Toledo. It's about Toledo, okay???

So! We went to Toledo today! Aaaahhh it was GORGEOUS....and it was SO NICE to see some hills again. It's a 2-hour bus trip, and we didn't stay the night, so we had about 7 hours to look around, which was enough to get the feel of the place. I am definitely planning on going back though, as it's the sort of place you could go for lunch, I could take some study and sit in the courtyard with a glass of wine..you know. It got up to 24 degrees!! I'll throw some photos up on facebook in the next few days.

In other news..
We have been having a good time lately. The weather is beautiful, with the temperature hovering at about 20 degrees and clear skies all day. I need to go and buy some sunscreen but the sun doesn't seem to burn as quickly here. Last night Feli, the german girl from canterbury, cooked us all a german dinner, so so far we have had a NZ dinner, an italian dinner (more than one actually!), and a german dinner. There was a guy from Peru there too so maybe the next one will be peruvian, and Lisa is going to make something American, although she might just end up organising a trip to McDonalds...haha! Anyway, I loved the schnitzel.

We have also been to see The Reader, the movie than Kate Winslet got best actress for at the oscars this year. It is quite a serious topic (WWII), but we enjoyed it and we were able to understand most of the spanish too which is very encouraging. Giulia and I turned up just after 10 30 hoping thaty we wouldn't miss too much of the beginning (because you never know if they're gonna play ads or not here) and when we got to the theatre there was no-one else there! As soon as we sat down the movie started. It was awesome!!

Anyway, I'm worn out so I'm gonna relax with a cup of tea in front of the telly. It's amazing how much more interesting television is when you only understand half of what they're saying!
Buenas noches a todos
Besos
